Pierre Jacquelin
Pierre Jacquelin was born in France in 1944. As a student, he studied at the Ecole Boulle in Paris, specializing in engraving and etching. Jacquelin held a variety of jobs before becoming a pastel artist and painter. In 1967 he became a jewelry designer at the Atelier Langlois, Paris for Van Cleef & Arpels. Later, he worked as a cartoonist and illustrator for various magazines (such as Plante and Vision) and illustrated sports books and magazines. From 1981-85 he was a fine art etcher and engraver, and later he began working in pastel and paint, the mediums in which he currently works.
