Tomura was born in 1951 in Japan. He studied drawing and printmaking at the IWATE University in Japan. Tomura’s work has been welcomed internationally and he has earned many rewards for printmaking, including the prestigious Medal of Honor at the Small Graphic Forms Exhibition in Lodz, Poland. The natural landscapes in Tomura’s etchings are timelessly tranquil and beautiful.
