Marcel Favreau
Born in Montreal, Canada, Marcel Favreau completed his art studies at the Montreal School of Fine Arts. He produced more than 3000 oil paintings. Favreau has traveled extensively in France, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Sicily where he painted the landscapes and ancient vistas of Europe. Each work emanates an atmosphere of local mood which is reflected in his choice of color and hue. He is often called "the painter of light" for his unique rendering of light.
Marcel Favreau has held numerous exhibitions in Canada as well as the Art Expo in LA 1987 and the Art Expo in New York 1996 and 1997. He received the honorable title of "Accademician" from the Accademia Internationale Greci Marino, del Verbano, Italia in January 1996.
