Arturo Garcia

Arturo Garcia, born in Mexico City in 1977, spent his formative years in Mexico and Spain. After graduating with honors from The National School of Plastic Arts, “San Carlos” Mexico DF, Arturo began his career exhibiting in Mexico under the support and guidance of the celebrated Mexican author, Carlos Monsivais. He then moved to California and completed his studies with David Hardy. Recognized as a preeminent classical realism painter, Arturo moved to New York City, with a determined desire to perfect his painting technique. In Manhattan he became affiliated with The Water Street Atelier under the mentorship of Jacob Collins. Almost immediately after Arturo’s first exhibit in the US, art collectors recognized the value and uniqueness of his work. Arturo’s paintings include still-lifes, landscapes, floral, interiors, and figurative works.
